Explore the new Black Sabbath collection at Castle Fine Art

Birmingham-born artist Jon Jones pays homage to heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath in his latest collection. The central artwork to this collection is a group portrait commemorating the band’s homecoming, and final, concert in Birmingham in 2025, as well as Jones’ 10-year anniversary working with Castle Fine Art.Sharon Osbourne personally selected this image of the band from the early 1970s for Jones to recreate. In it we see the fresh-faced Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward at the start of their genre-defining rise to global fame.Considered the ‘original’ heavy metal band by many, ‘Changes’ captures the group’s raw energy, rebellious spirit and deeply embedded legacy in global music culture.Being a proud Brummie, this isn’t the first time Jones has used a Birmingham institution as inspiration for his pieces. The BBC smash hit Peaky Blinders has long been one of Jones’ artistic muses in recent years.
