Restaurant at The Woods is a development of our much loved coffee shop in Solihull – The Woods. Following the success of The Woods, the demand for more space for customers and a bigger working space for staff is greater than ever.
Two years after opening The Woods on Solihull High street, following a refurbishment after our first year, we are simply unable to extend our humble coffee shop any further. Which has lead us to a brand new project. We have started work on something new, that would allow us to share our passions even further – Restaurant At The Woods.
As small two young local guys or business owners we thought we would be opening a second coffee shop and had never envisioned anything as exciting as what we have planned. With the help of our wonderful Solihull team, family and friends we have created a restaurant which we believe is unlike anything else in Birmingham. Our restaurant is dedicated to delighting guests, serving exciting new food and managing our global impact as much as possible.
Following the same forest theme of The Woods, our restaurant interior is a lush paradise of towering trees, waterfalls and the sounds of singing birds.
Although much of our interior is artificial (due to hygiene and practicality) our forest is alive, no day is the same as the seasons and weather change all the time.
Our menu –
Our menu has been created with two people in mind, like us there is an adventurous eater and a safe player in every couple. For the safe players there are plenty of options from double stacked beef burgers to pan fried chicken breast and classic breakfasts. As well as sharing grazing boards and a selection of small plates and starters that are full of comfort foods and small tasters of wild things just in-case you’re tempted to try something new!
For the adventurous ones, we have created a unique menu that changes the perception of many of the game meats you may associate with fine dining. As well as classic venison steaks and pan-fried pheasant, we have re-interpreted how these meats can be used. With the likes of the wild woods breakfast, pulled venison burgers and pleasant pheasant salad. Not forgetting the veggies and vegans we have a whole mains sections from the fields as well as many dishes dotted all over the menu and have used plenty of wild ingredients which are also a little unusual such as stinging nettles and wild mushrooms.
