We are thrilled to have recently won an International CSR Excellence Award for our waste management schemes, which include food waste and dry mixed recycling.

As a result of these schemes, over the next 12-months, we forecast that over 220 tonnes of food waste will be processed through anaerobic digestion as renewable energy at Mailbox, while also contributing to the circular economy by providing reusable material back to agriculture. We also forecast to generate eighteen tonnes of dry mixed recyclable waste in this time, which will be diverted away from energy recovery and become a recycled commodity. This will help reduce approximately 23.6 tonnes of Co2 released into the atmosphere.
