We are supporting local artists through our ‘Artist in Residence’ project, creating, curating & collaborating with Birmingham’s brightest talent.

Eden is a British-born contemporary artist, specialising in creating celebratory paintings of women. Eden writes on her website: ‘My motivation is straightforward: I want to empower women from my culture’.

We asked Eden to design a piece of artwork in celebration of International Women’s Day. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #AccelerateAction, encouraging us all to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively for #IWD2025 we can all #AccelerateAction.
