Ribble’s Ride to Raise Funds

Join Ribble Cycles and a host of cycling stars in a virtual event to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, as the charity marks ‘Geoff Thomas Day’.

July 4th will be the 17th anniversary of blood cancer survivor, ex-England footballer and Cure Leukaemia Patron Geoff Thomas’ diagnosis with chronic myeloid leukaemia. He was due to be cycling stage 9 of this year’s Tour de France, one day ahead of the professionals, but unfortunately the COVID-19 crisis meant that the GT15 event was cancelled.

Despite this, Geoff – in partnership with Ribble Cycles and Zwift – will be taking part in a virtual cycling event with potentially thousands across the world to raise funds and awareness for Cure Leukaemia.

Ribble has teamed up with Zwift to create two exciting new routes; a 25km ‘Tour of Fire and Ice’ and a more challenging 89.3km ‘Four Horsemen’ course for cyclists with the Zwift app to take part in at 15:00 GMT on Saturday 4th July. Participants are asked to donate a minimum of £21 to the ‘Ribble Ride to Raise Funds’ JustGiving page in order to take part, with all funds going to national blood cancer charity, Cure Leukaemia.

As an additional incentive, every person who makes a donation will be automatically entered into a draw to win one of the prizes on offer, including; VIP Hospitality for 2 people at the final stage of the 2021 Tour de France in Paris, a custom Ribble bike frame worth £1,000 and a signed Tour de France jersey from the winner of the 2021 race, plus much more…

To take part and ride alongside Geoff Thomas, Rebecca Charlton, Laura Winter, the Ribble Weldtite Team and many others in one of the Ribble x Zwift rides, make your donation to Cure Leukaemia here: bit.ly/ridetoraisefunds
