Post-Summer Beauty Rescue

Your holiday may well have left you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but chances are that your gorgeous summer glow may hide a multitude of sins. Too much sun, sea and soaring temperatures can have a drying effect on our skin and hair. So once the tan starts to fade, it’s time to sort out those post-summer issues from top to toe.

Soothe with SOS Oil Serum, £55, from Heaven Skincare – it’s designed to balance oil levels, hydrate and feed the skin, while its vitamin content can help to repair acne, scars and damage. It is also proven to shrink warts, spots, blackheads and even stretch marks due to its antiviral properties, and can even be used on dry hair and nails to soften and repair. Available from Harvey Nichols.

Nourish and exfoliate skin with ESPA’s Exfoliating Body Polish, £33. Boasting refining apricot seed kernels it gently clears dull cells away, while cooling spearmint refreshes and aloe vera conditions. Available from Le Petit Spa at Malmaison.

For damaged and over-processed hair reach for Kérastase Resistance Thérapiste, £32.99, from Toni & Guy Essensuals, to repair brittle split ends. This thick mask intensively nourishes, leaving your crowning glory revitalised and toned. Simply apply a small amount to clean towel-dried hair, massage onto lengths and ends and leave in for 5-10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Pixi’s brightening Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser, £18, is formulated with orange flower water and contains stabilized vitamin C for a potent antioxidant effect. Ferulic acid assists in regeneration while balancing probiotics help to strengthen skin’s barrier. Available from Harvey Nichols.

Packed full of nourishing ingredients, Coco and Eve’s Like A Virgin Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque, £34.50, strengthens, repairs, tames and treats. Raw virgin coconut prevents breakage and split ends while argan oil tackles split ends to make your hair more manageable. There’s also added essence of fig and shea butter to moisturise and detangle. Available from Harvey Nichols.

Treat Your Feet Foot Cream from Elemis, £22, is rich in conditioning shea butter and jojoba oil to hydrate rough skin. The intensely moisturising formulation is infused with a blend of aromatic patchouli, eucalyptus and lemon oils to help soothe and comfort. Available from Harvey Nichols
