Following the pre-collection, which referenced Paul’s first trip to New York in the 1970s, the new spring/summer ’18 collection has a strong aquatic theme, with a series of fish graphics, Hawaiian prints and marine motifs.
References to travel include Hawaiian shirts, deckchair stripes and tropical colours, while the continued use of traditional tailoring cloths roots the collection in British tailoring.
The Ocean print is the key graphic that runs across the collection. Inspired by Hawaiian prints, the graphic features koi carp, corals and colourful floral patterns and is available in three colours: a deep red, light blue and pale yellow. Ocean print separates are designed to be matched together or worn individually as statement pieces.
Elements from the print appear across the collection as accents on clothes, shoes and accessories including hand-painted koi detailing on leather jackets. Shoes and accessories also have bold representations of the Ocean print, plus a variety of fish graphics.
