We asked Harvey Nichols stylist Luisa Hackney to select her top five key winter coats.
Innovative and ultra-padded, the Tatie jacket from Moncler is the high-performance staple for frosty winter days. I love the luxurious quilting and the detachable fur trim, while the adjustable belt cinches in the waist for a more feminine silhouette.
For perfect city styling, Stella McCartney’s Bryce coat boasts a masculine cocoon shape and collarless design that’s both timeless and polished. In chic smoky-grey, it’s detailed with button-embellished cuffs and lightly padded shoulders – I love it as a smart option for work.
Another Stella McCartney AW19 must-have is this super-soft, sand-hued gilet that’s crafted from the label’s ethical and environmentally-friendly faux fur – it even has the signature Fur Free Fur plaque at the back.
Go faux and make a real statement with Stand Studio’s white, three-quarter length teddy coat. It’s tie-belted waist and double breasted, and is a great for those work-to-party days or team with jeans and boots for a more casual look.
I chose the classic aviator jacket from Acne Studios as it’s one of our AW19’s hero pieces. This sought-after staple is one of my favourite pieces in store and is crafted from soft leather with a shearling trim for warmth and practicality, while keeping label’s signature Scandi-cool allure.
