We’re delighted to announce that Lucarelli is now open! The authentic Italian restaurant offers a unique dining experience, with all the Italian charm, style and fine food that will have you singing bellisimo from its stunning flower-filled terrace.
Opening Canalside, the decadently decorated 140 cover restaurant is set over two floors and features a decadent marble and gold interior, interspersed with sultry lighting and olive trees, making it the perfect setting for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner.
The elegant bar is a haven for cocktail lovers; with a wine list that features a fantastic selection of Italian wines such as Barolo, Vermentino, Chianti, Fiano and Gavi di Gavi.
You can book a table at their show stopping outdoor terrace. Covered in beautiful white flowers, it’s the ideal space for enjoying cicchetti and prosecco as the weather warms up.
Head Chef Elia Vergnano has been busy creating a tempting menu capturing the true essence of Italian cuisine; taking your taste buds on a journey around the regions of Italia.
Elia said: “Naturally I lean on my Italian heritage with my cooking. It is really important to me to always use the best, fresh ingredients and to respect the traditional Italian way of cooking. We personally select and import the highest quality Italian ingredients; it’s what really sets Lucarelli apart.”
“These are used to create authentic Italian dishes by our chefs from Italy, using traditional recipes based on their heritage, extensive experience and infused with passion to give you a truly memorable taste of Italy.”
Alongside delicious seafood dishes and your favourite pizzas, the cicchetti menu includes traditional pasta recipes such as spaghetti, ravioli, penne and linguine. You’ll also see classic Italian dishes on the menu including Pollo Alla Milanese (chicken in breadcrumbs), Carré D’agnello Arrosto (rack of lamb in spicy breadcrumbs), Saltimbocca all Romana (Pan fried veal escalope with parma ham, sage and butter sauce) and their signature Lucarelli mini-burgers.
Elia’s recommendations from the a la carte menu
“I would have to suggest starting with our Trio Bruschetta, my favourite of the three is the classic tomato with plenty of garlic. Next up would be Risotto Fontina e Salsiccia, followed by Carré D’Agnello Arrosto, which is oven-baked rack of lamb served with rosemary roast potatoes. For dessert it would have to be the Italian classic, Tiramisu served with an espresso. Is that too much food? Never!”
What better way to enjoy the spring sunshine and celebrate the return of outdoor dining than to say Buongiorno to Lucarelli at Mailbox.
At Lucarelli, you may enter as guests, but you will leave as friends.
