Glynn Purnell has just announced some seriously exciting news! The Birmingham-born Michelin star chef has released his plans to curate the brand-new 40-seat restaurant in the new Harvey Nichols store at the Mailbox…
The owner of the infamous Purnell’s Restaurant and Purnell’s Bistro in Birmingham will mentor the restaurant’s new head chef and recruit local suppliers to source specialist ingredients. The menu, devised by Glynn, is set to include 16 ‘small plate’ dishes to share. There’s plans to include a range of delicious dishes, such as rack of lamb with pea custard, curry-glazed haddock with poached egg and cooked poussain with quinoa salad.
The new restaurant will include a private dining room, open kitchen, cocktail lounge, food market (selling the products used in the restaurant’s dishes!) and a wine shop, all set within the beautifully designed 45,000 sq ft Harvey Nichols store.
