Last weekend, we celebrated the stunning Urban Room at the new Mailbox with a series of exciting events. From lively demonstrations and panel discussions at The Mailbox Sessions, to live classical music and stunning performances by Rosie Kay Dance Company, here’s a look back at the highlights from our opening weekend.
With the unveiling of the Urban Room on Thursday morning, the new Mailbox opened its doors for the first time, with champagne on ice to welcome some of the first visitors. Alongside music from the Birmingham Conservatoire, and specially choreographed dance performances from Rosie Kay Dance Company, visitors were welcomed into the luxurious new Mailbox in style.
Friday night was made beautiful at the Mailbox, with our first independent cocktail trail giving visitors the perfect excuse to enjoy a drink in our canalside area. An exciting chance to win a trip to Paris thanks to Côte Brasserie by taking a snap with our ‘Say Beautiful’ sign, and the introduction of some spontaneous Beautiful Moments to surprise visitors, ensured a night out to remember at the new Mailbox.
The Mailbox Sessions across opening weekend showcased everything that the new Mailbox has to offer, from fashion and style to beauty and pampering, art and cinema to food and drink. Free panel discussions from a team of experts, including Grazia’s fashion editor, Hannah Almassi and renowned artist, Alex Echo, took place alongside lively demonstrations on the main stage area, bringing the new Mailbox to life.
Special offers from all of our new retailers, as well as our quest to find out what makes life beautiful thanks to Beautiful Life TV completed the weekend, so a big thank you to everyone who helped us to bring #LifeMadeBeautiful to the Mailbox.
