This month, we’re wishing our good friends Côte a very Happy 5th Birthday. To mark this special occasion, we’ve picked our top five dishes from Côte’s delicious menu that we think you should try:
Steak tartare: What could be more French than Steak Tartare? Be transported to a Parisian bistro with this classic but indulgent dish finished with a splash of cognac for good measure.
Tuna Niçoise: Perfect for those al fresco lunches in the sun. Enjoy a chargrilled fresh tuna steak cooked to your liking on classic Niçoise salad – perfect with a crisp glass of chilled white wine.
Steak Frites: A dish that comes highly commended by the Good Food Guide, satisfy your inner carnivore with a chargrilled tender minute steak adorned with garlic butter and accompanied by perfectly cooked French fries.
Roast Duck: A rich, intensely flavoured dish and a popular Sunday lunch alternative, try the succulent roasted duck breast with gratin potato and Griottines cherry sauce. Why not ask a waiter to recommend a red wine from Côte’s extensive French wine list.
Crème Caramel: A traditional set vanilla pod custard with dark caramel and double cream. This French classic of Crème Caramel is the perfect finish to your meal.
Going to the theatre? Or just pressed for time? Don’t forget to try out Cote’s set menu. Available Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 7pm, you can enjoy two courses for £9.95 or three courses for £11.90.
