19th June 2015
It’s no secret that Birmingham has a fantastic cocktail scene, so what better way to celebrate than with a whole weekend dedicated to our favourite drinks?
From the 10th – 12th July, the first ever Birmingham Cocktail Weekend will be taking over the city, with a range of our canalside bars placing the Mailbox firmly on the cocktail trail. With all wristband holders exclusively able to take advantage of signature cocktails for just £4, we guarantee you don’t want to miss it.
With no less than five of our bars taking part, here’s where you can enjoy Birmingham Cocktail Weekend at the Mailbox:
Gas Street Social
One of the first to get on board with the weekend, Gas Street Social has been incredibly popular since it opened in March. Home to fantastic cocktails from the renowned Shaker Group, we have no doubt that its signature cocktail will be an instant hit. That’s not all, Gas Street Social is also hosting a free Bacardi Tasting event on Saturday 11th July from 4 – 5pm, giving wristband holders the chance to drop in on the Bacardi team, to learn more about the product range and, of course, sample some too!
If you’ve visited Aluna since it opened, you’ll already know that there’s nothing quite like it elsewhere in the city. Specialising in expertly created cocktails pushing the boundaries of cocktail making, Aluna is a feast for all your senses, delivering a healthy dose of dramatics with each drink. If the exciting menu is anything to go by, Aluna’s signature drink for the weekend is set to be magic.
It’s a case of lights, cocktails, action at the recently transformed Chez Mal, which offers a range of classic and quirky ‘Malchemy’ cocktails. With years of experience and an exciting new bar area, Malmaison is the perfect spot for luxury cocktails over the weekend.
As Birmingham’s premier Champagne and piano bar, Bar Epernay provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy cocktails. With a menu filled with all your favourites, alongside Champagne cocktails, Bar Epernay is a classic choice for great drinks this Birmingham Cocktail Weekend.
Expert mixologists put the fun into cocktails at Pennyblacks, with everything from classic mojitos and martinis to giant sharing cocktails served in a teapot. There’s no doubt the signature £4 cocktail will feature a quirky Pennyblacks twist, to be enjoyed amongst neon lights and booths in the laid back lounge.
