They’re the latest snacking craze for the health-conscious, and now Pod Bites are available at Harvey Nichols. The brainchild of 24-year-old Robert Jakobi, these fibre-packed sweet treats include yoghurt or chocolate covered edamame beans.
Whichever pack you chose, the Pod Bites contain 35% more protein, 85% more fibre, 35% less fat and 20% less calories than chocolate covered raisins or peanuts. Edamame beans have long been hailed as a “super food” because they contain soya protein, which can help reduce blood cholesterol.
